The Gran Salotto features a magnificent walk-in stone fireplace. The house has three bedrooms, two with their own fireplaces, and each with a private bath.

In good weather I love to sit outside in the morning sipping an espresso and plucking figs from the tree next to me.

There is no better place in the world for an artist than la Pietra. I've had great joy painting here on the property, capturing the fields, hills, myriad fruit trees, gardens, and the house itself. And one doesn't need to go far for some of the best subject matter in the world, from Renaissance castles to the town of Cortona itself, with its three walls very much in evidence, the medieval, ancient Roman, and Estruscan, dating back to 600 years before the birth of Christ.
